SUNDAY MORNING YOUTH

It's great to have teenagers in our church and we really want to invest in them in the high-school stage of life.

Most weeks (roughly 2 in 3) our youth will join the adults for the songs and announcements at the start of each service, then move into another room with the youth leaders to do their own activity and Bible study during the sermon.

On the other weeks (roughly 1 in 3) the youth join the adults for the whole service.

To be part of the Sunday morning youth, we ask parents to fill in a registration form, but we let the youth sign themselves in and out during the service each week.

AFTER THE SUNDAY SERVICE

It's important for youth to be able to make other friends and support each other as Christians. So we aim to make it easy for them to hang out after the service. The Youth centre we gather in has room to hang out, play pool, table tennis, and we set aside some room for basketball and other games.

Gateway Youth

The high-schoolers from Southern are joining in with Gateway Community Church’s youth group: Gateway Youth.

Gateway Youth runs from 6.30-8.30pm on Fridays at 63 Spencer Street, Cockburn Central.

What to expect on a Gateway Youth night

  • Chill vibes & activities as you arrive at 6:30 pm.

  • We will officially start with a welcome and a small game.

  • After this, one on the leaders will give a brief interactive talk to introduce our bible study theme for the night, then we will head off into groups to read and study the bible passage for the night.

  • In our groups, youth will have an opportunity to share and pray together.

  • To close off the night we will then have a big game or activity together as a whole group.

  • Then there will be time to hang out until parents come to pick up at 8:30 pm.

Gateway Youth Registration & Sign-in
