SUNDAY MORNING YOUTH
It's great to have teenagers in our church and we really want to invest in them in the high-school stage of life.
Most weeks (roughly 2 in 3) our youth will join the adults for the songs and announcements at the start of each service, then move into another room with the youth leaders to do their own activity and Bible study during the sermon.
On the other weeks (roughly 1 in 3) the youth join the adults for the whole service.
To be part of the Sunday morning youth, we ask parents to fill in a registration form, but we let the youth sign themselves in and out during the service each week.
AFTER THE SUNDAY SERVICE
It's important for youth to be able to make other friends and support each other as Christians. So we aim to make it easy for them to hang out after the service. The Youth centre we gather in has room to hang out, play pool, table tennis, and we set aside some room for basketball and other games.
Friday Night Youth
Around once a fortnight the high-schoolers from Southern gather together in a home for a meal, simple bible study and games. Itβs a chance for our teens to make friends, support each other, and learn more about Jesus β the one who has come to bring life to the full!
Our leaders are safe ministry trained, have WWCC and undergone appropriate screening.
To be part of the Friday Night Youth, we ask parents to fill in a registration form, with an option for teens to sign themselves in and out of the program.
